Business Intelligence Developer

Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and proactive monitoring for in-house and vendor applications. Resolve or/and makes recommendations for remediation, if applicable
Work with vendor’s support organizations to escalation and resolve issues
Perform access control and security administration tasks
Perform configuration changes on vendor applications
Develop and automate tasks and solutions to ensure high-availability and low-maintenance of systems
Develop, monitor and support system interfaces between in-house and vendor applications
Configuring and designing OBIEE/Siebel Analytics metadata repositories including mapping data elements from various data sources, building the business model and mapping layer which may include hierarchies, dimensions, and aggregates, and finally the mapping of the presentation layer objects for Oracle BI Answers and Publisher
Design and develop data integration/ETL processes
Perform analysis, design and development of reports and dashboards in OBIEE/Siebel Analytics
Develop and maintain all necessary project, system and support related documentation
Analyzes existing processes and systems and recommends opportunities for improvement in line with strategic business initiatives
Planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of business requirements and problems to be solved using automated system applications and processes.
Create and design to system specifications to meet business requirements and developing new or enhancing existing code to implement to the specifications
Works on multiple, simultaneous projects of which he/she will apply their applicable technical and system functionality background
Identify project tasks, define task definitions and provide task timelines
Debug and unit test modules before deployment to QA environment
Coordinate, track and manage change management activities
Provide written and oral status and progress reports to project members and IT management
Requirements:
3-5 years experience with development and systems analysis experience
Experience with Visual Studio.NET, Visual Basic, JavaScript, XML, Web Services, ADO
Strong experience with SQL database development - MS SQL 2000/2005
Experience with Data Conversion, Data Staging, and ETL Tools (Microsoft)
Data warehouse design and development experience
Experience in capturing business/systems requirements definition, translating requirements into system specifications, and designing, configuring, and implementing application systems
Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Familiar with high transaction driven applications and performing query functions
