Responsibilities:
The Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for:
Managing Macquarie’s technology infrastructure
Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing business systems
Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies, and services
The Group provides each major business in Macquarie with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.
The Manila Resource Centre is now looking to bolster its development capabilities by hiring two Java Developers into the team in order to help develop a variety of applications for Macquarie.
To be successful in this role the following experience is essential:
minimum of 7 years J2EE experience
extensive experience using open source frameworks such as Spring (2.5) and Hibernate.
web development experience and exposure to open source JavaScript libraries (jQuery, prototype).
previous experience working in an agile development environment.
experience with build and/or continuous integration tools such as ant, maven, CruiseControl, Bamboo.
test-driven development experience (JUnit, DbUnit)
database experience (preferably Sybase, SQL Server).
experience with at least one application server (WebSphere, JBoss, Weblogic, Tomcat)
In addition, to succeed in this role you will have:
experience in all phases of systems development, especially the design and delivery of web applications
excellent written and verbal communication skills
the ability to work well under pressure in providing timely and accurate solutions to systems problems
the ability to work well in a team of business and technical staff
the flexibility to travel to Australia for up to several weeks.
Experience with the following technologies would also be highly regarded:
Web Services
Selenium
Experience with mocking frameworks (e.g. EasyMock)
CVS, Ant
UNIX environment
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
* Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer – Software or equivalent.
