Localization Project Manager
(Central Visayas – Cebu City)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interacts with worldwide marketing, product managers, product planners and country managers to develop overall translation strategy and schedules. Ensures accuracy and completeness of translated documentation. Requires solid knowledge of company products or equivalent technologies, as well as an understanding of the tools and technologies available and under development in translation industry. Works as a member of a documentation or product team. At higher levels, may develop and manage translation requirements and budget to support worldwide product development and deliver translations on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s degree holder preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any IT-related field
- Strong project management skills
- Effective negotiation skills with a facility for resolving issues with cross-functional teams
- Background and high interest in IT is required
- Knowledgeable in different file formats such as XML, ANSI, UTF-8, FrameMaker, Quark XPress, etc is an advantage
- Strong command of English in both written and oral correspondence
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multi-tasking
- Results-oriented, driven and can work with minimum supervision
- Experience with vendor management is a definite plus
- Willing to work outside normal business hours (as needed) to accommodate translations requests from across countries and time zones
