Responsibilities:
* Responsbilities include systems level database administration for Investment Manulife hosted Applications at IBM data centers
* Provide primary or back-up support for a sub-set of applications, addressing all the requests and production calls for the application, from Development through production and Disaster Recovery
* Diagnose and correct database failure conditions. Escalate as required for assistance
* Pro-actively monitor and adjust database parameters and support structures
* Provide on-call production database support for SQL Server production database environments. Over time, learn how to support Sybase and then Oracle based applications
* Ensure top DB performance via proper DB maintenance, tuning DB server for MS SQL Server 2000 / 2005 initially, then Sybase and then Oracle
* Development and maintenance of relational data definitions to support Investment internal, reference and external data
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s or College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology of equivalent.
* Skills in MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle is a major requirement.
* At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Experience specializing in IT/Computer – Software or equivalent would be strongly considered.

* Candidates must be open to working in rotating work schedules in Diliman, Quezon City area
