Responsibilities:
* Perform design and development of new software programs.
* Provide assistance to Application Engineer in systems development, testing and maintenance.
* Provide application support to both ship and shore based application systems maintaining defined Service Level.
* Provide assistance in User Acceptance Testing and training.
* Prepare and maintain required documentations.
* Participate in project activities based on assigned project role.
* Maintain adherence to defined standards, policies and procedures.
* Constantly update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
* Recognizes and takes action when escalation and de-escalation is required for critical and urgent cases following defined escalation procedure.
* Provide Weekly/Monthly or as required status report on work progress.
* Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
* Candidate must have Diploma Advanced/Higher, or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent with 3-4 years work experiences in similar capacity
* At least 2 years experience preferably in the Hospitality, Casino or Cruise Ship industry.
* Knowledgeable in at least three of the following technologies:Development – c/c++, VB 6, .net (ASP, c#, vb.net), Java, AJAX, Progress, ABAP, Database – Oracle, DB2, Progress, MSSQL, Environment – Unix, Linux, Windows , Applications – CRM, SAP/ERP, Fidelio, Micros (POS), Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence.
* Good knowledge of Software Development Methodology; and past experience in application project development will be an added advantage.
* Strong programming skills.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal.
* Customer and result-oriented.
