Sr. Systems Administrator
(National Capital Reg – Makati City)
Responsibilities:
Administration of Servers consisting of Windows 2003, Linux
Ensuring uptime of all network / systems infrastructure as well as systems services
IT Security Implementation. IDS Monitoring / Firewall ruleset implementation
Data Backup / Archiving
Load Balancing / Load Optimizations / Network Optimization to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
* Expertise in system architecting, engineering, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, and security procedures.
* Experience with network architecture including experience with load balancing equipment, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
* Hardware systems design, enterprise storage and disk subsystems, cluster management, troubleshooting.
* Expert in IP communication and packet structure, and experience with network protocol analyzers.
* Web and application server expertise including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
* Understanding of Network, application, and data security best practices.
* Experience with very high transaction Databases and large data warehouse environments.
* Experience with multiple application frameworks.
* Excellent systems documentation and architecture diagram skills
* Experience in an high volume Internet/Ecommerce operational environment, and full understanding of the operational needs in these environments
* Must have at least four (4) years of relevant Linux / Windows 2003 system administration experience
* Windows Active Directory experience
* Experience with Red Hat, Windows 2003/2008, and underlying hardware architectures.
* Experience with Oracle DB nice to have
* Veritas Volume Management & Clustering product
* SAN general technology theories and practices

Experience required with sendmail as well as IP filter rules
*
Unix scripting language experience requiredMust have a strong networking background with an emphasis on security

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

We are seeking System Administrators to provide support for a mixed UNIX / Windows environment consisting of Red Hat, Windows 2003/2008. The main responsibilities include installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting of the systems assigned and also taking part in a 24×7 on-call support rotation. Must be proficient in shell scripting.
