Responsibilities:
Scope of work encompasses installation and support for the servers, operating systems, storage, tape backup and recovery infrastructure and inbound/outbound interface architecture for the enterprise applications. The person will also be part of the team that creates and maintains operating system level scripts to automate and streamline infrastructure support. Environment and user authentication information is stored in an OpenLDAP directory. Many of EBSD’s scripts operate on this OpenLDAP data.
Support activities also include OS patching, server rebuilds and maintenance, NetGIL and Citrix support, performance tuning, and disaster/recovery planning and testing. The group ensures that all operating systems meet Information Protection and SOX requirements.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor’s/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology or equivalent.
* At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
* Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.

* Install and patch the HP-UX, Windows and Red Hat operating systems.
* Perform UNIX, Windows and Linux system security tasks.
* Build and maintain the server landscape.
* Build and maintain the storage and back up infrastructure (disk frames and tape SAN.)
* Analyze the hardware and storage infrastructure and execute performance tuning and capacity planning in order to ensure high system availability and to optimize performance.
* Perform daily monitoring of systems and resolve issues originating from both automated alerts and customer “Service Desk” cases.
* Create and maintain UNIX and Windows scripts to enable infrastructure automation.
* Perform backups and system recoveries.
* Assist in procurement activities for servers and storage components.
* Plan and execute Disaster Recovery tests.
* Be familiar with all aspects of troubleshooting and take part in the team’s on-call rotation, in which support personnel are expected to be available on a periodic 24×7 basis.
* Provide support for Connect:Direct, the underlying tool running the SAP inbound/outbound interfaces. Work with other System Administrators, developers, network analysts, and external parties to establish and enable file transfers.
* Ensure that all components of the operating system and hardware infrastructure meet Information Protection and SOX requirements. As required, provide assistance to, and work with, internal and external IP auditors.
* Perform various other proactive support tasks required to support the SAP, JDE and Ariba infrastructure.
* Have working experience with Virtualization – 1 -2 years experience administering VMWare ESX server in a medium to large scale environment utilizing High Availability technologies.
* Have experience with Automation – Familiarity with windows based automation tools such as vbscript and power shell.
