Responsibilities:
* Development of web-frontends: Graphical and textual representation of pre- processed statistical data as well as easy to use data entry and configuration forms.
* Creative design and implementation of user-interfaces applying modern technologies within a J2EE environment.
* Quality assurance, testing and documentation.
* Active participation in development and implementation of new ideas, features and requirements in collaboration with international project team members.
Requirements:
* The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the field of web development and with solid programming and analytical skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or a related major course of study.
* In-depth knowledge and extensive experience on the following: Java, HTML, CSS, XML, JSP, JavaScript
Other skills needed for this position are as follows:
* You apply professional and practical skills to HTML/XHTML, CSS, Ajax and JavaScript and graphical representation of statistical data.
* Dealing with a Java Enterprise Application Server is your daily business, thus you are familiar with the programming language Java, object-oriented design and JSP.
* You are an expert in using established frameworks like Struts or Java Server Faces.
* You are familiar with and adhere to the guidelines for usable and disability-friendly user interfaces.
* The security of the web application and the protection of the customer’s data is an important issue in your implementations.
* You know how to use a revision control system, preferably Mercurial.
* You understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards.
* You are eagerly interested in new technologies and their value for meeting the customer’s demands and the company’s business goals.
* Good command of English is essential
